What Does Ovulation Feel Like-Signs and Symptoms of Ovulation

What Does Ovulation Feel Like-Signs and Symptoms of Ovulation

When you ask yourself: “What Does Ovulation Feel Like”, it’s amazing, although evident, how much you don’t know about your body.

There are many methods to recognize Signs and Symptoms of Ovulation: natural methods and the ones you spend your money on.

Getting pregnant is a serious task which requires preparation and discipline. But, however hard you try, you can’t escape media influence end endless advice. It seems as if there are thousands of experts around us with strong opinions on just about any pregnancy issues – and I didn’t even touch the subject of expensive ovulation kits.

It’s an endless circle and the more you get sucked in the weaker you’ll become.

Simply, it’s in us to strive for a more natural approach. Don’t you think that pharmaceutical corporations have had their fair share of our hard earned cash?

The truth is, the best time to get pregnant is when you are ovulating. But signs and symptoms of ovulation are sometimes not that obvious. You have to learn to read your body signs – needless to say, “Timing is everything”!

It usually takes about 10-14 days for your body to mature an egg and release it. Ovulation for most women usually takes place between the tenth and 14th day after the last period starts.

Understanding the importance of consistent ovulation is an important factor in determining why you may be having trouble getting pregnant. For instance, if you are getting your period 12 days or less after you ovulate, you may not be making enough progesterone to support a pregnancy. In contrast, if your cycles are very long, or even irregular, you may not be producing eggs often – or even at all!

Did you ever think of that one?

Remember, when it comes to getting pregnant, timing is everything, which is why is imperative to understand your menstrual cycle. The biggest mistake many women make is to assume that she is “normal”, and so is her ovulation. Most of us have been taught that ovulation occurs around the 14th day so we should be having lots of sex between days 12 and 15. While this may be true for most women, it isn’t true for all women.

Ovulation usually occurs 14 days before your period begins. So, if you have a 28 day cycle, then you can expect to ovulate on day 14 like the average woman. But, if your periods are only 25 days apart, you are going to ovulate around day 11, so having sex on days 13 and 14 will be too late.

On the other hand, if you have longer periods (say 34 days), you won’t even ovulate until day 20, so all that semen from day 14 and 15 will be long gone by the time it’s needed!

To increase your chances of getting pregnant and to ensure healthy conception, be sure to study your periods; figure out when you actually do ovulate and then make sure that you get “busy” during the right time of the month.

The idea here is straightforward: Take a good care of yourself and learn about “you”. The easiest thing to do is to go over the counter, dish out some cash and get those pills and pregnancy kits.

What Does Ovulation Feel Like? Stop wondering and start implementing those essential methods of reading your body signals and signs – NATURALLY.

Remember, predicting Signs and Symptoms of Ovulation and surviving the two week wait, is achievable with persistence and good will which can lead to a healthy conception and a bright happy future.

How You Can Expect to Feel at 18 Weeks Pregnant

How You Can Expect to Feel at 18 Weeks Pregnant

When you are 18 weeks pregnant, you are in the middle of the second trimester. At this time, your friends and family will tell you how good you look and that being pregnant suits you. This is because pregnant women at this stage seem to have a glow about them. The morning sickness has passed for most women by now and they are able to enjoy being pregnant concentrating on the coming birth of the baby. You are your partner can also renew your relationship because you are not as emotional over little things as you were only a few weeks ago.

When you are 18 weeks into your pregnancy, you will have many feelings of movement in the womb. These are called quickenings at this stage and feel like bubbly movements inside your body. The baby is starting to move about and the feelings come from the movement this causes in the amniotic fluid almost like waves. It is advisable to get exercise more often to strengthen your muscles for the job they will have to do. While strenuous exercise is out of the question, you should take longer walls when the weather is suitable.

You will start to have more gas pains and indigestion at this point because of the growing baby. At first you may even think that the babys movements are the rumblings of gas into your stomach. You may feel hungry most of the time because the baby needs lots of nourishment for its growth and development. The hunger pangs may be more frequent if you have missed out on all your favourite foods during morning sickness and you may also have unusual cravings. Foods that are high in carbs are important to give both you and the baby the energy you need.

To ease your hunger pangs, you should have a supply of nutritious snacks on hand, such as nuts, crackers and cereal bars. In this way, you will be sure your body is getting the nutrients the baby needs instead of loading up of junk food that has no nutritional value. These are small and easy to fit in your purse so that you always have something to eat close at hand.

At this point you and the father can start talking and reading to the baby so that he/she will start to recognize your voices.  The ears are formed perfectly in place and are fully functional so the baby can hear you. The babys bones start to ossify or harden at this time. They are also coated in myelin so that sensation to the nerve endings will travel quickly to the brain. The nerves throughout the body are starting to develop into the complex nervous system that will be evident by the time the baby is born. The baby also has a sense of smell, taste and sight at 18 weeks. It weighs between five and seven ounces and is a little more than 5 inches long.  From now on though, the babys growth will develop at a much faster pace.

Some women make the mistake of still using the clothes that they have when they are still not pregnant. This is not a good idea to look good while pregnant because the person will just look gaudy, not to mention that the clothes do not also fit right. Even if the fabric is stretchable, it is still not good to use them. There are clothes that are especially made for women who are pregnant. Why not invest in them? You can also look for clothes that have high waistlines like the empire-cut to look good while pregnant. This is a good investment because this type of clothes can be worn even when you are not pregnant.

Stay away from oversize clothes

Pregnant women make the mistake of buying or using oversize clothes, T-shirts, shorts, in order to hide their growing tummy. They feel that oversize clothes will protect the child more. But wearing these kinds of clothes will not do anything for the baby and worse, they will only make you appear bigger to people. It is good to buy clothes that are cut the right way for you to look good while pregnant. Choose sizes that are just right for you. Not too tight but not too loose either.

Style your hair or better yet, cut it short

Because of their morning sickness, dizziness and headaches, most women already forget that they also have to groom themselves. One of the major problems of women is the hair. During pregnancy, women tend to have falling hair. Because of this, some women do not comb their hair as often. Although gels and other chemicals cannot be applied during pregnancy, you can still style your hair and look good while pregnant by tying it into a pony. You can also save yourself the heartache and just cut it short. This way, you don’t have to do anything.

Wear fashionable but comfy clothes

Who says you cannot wear fabulous and fashionable clothes to look good while pregnant? Let loose your fashionable self and experiment with all kinds of clothing and style. Look for “in” pieces that you can incorporate into your look. Cuts and styles of clothes are not the only ones that you can use when you want to follow the fad and look good while pregnant. Wear a smile

No amount of clothes, no matter how expensive can compare to your smile. To look good while pregnant, believe that you are beautiful and show the world that you are having fun and you will. Smile to everyone that you meet. You will realize that even if you are feeling bad because of your morning sickness, a smile can make you feel a lot better. And why not smile?
