Pregnancy should not be a cause for any insecurity. In fact, a pregnant woman is the most beautiful woman in the world because she is performing what God created her to do. But of course, knowing that you are beautiful and appearing beautiful are two different things. It is not enough that you tell yourself that you are beautiful. You also have to do something to make yourself beautiful and look good while pregnant.

Below are some tips that every pregnant woman should take heart in order to look good while pregnant… and eventually to feel good.

Wear clothes for pregnant women

Some women make the mistake of still using the clothes that they have when they are still not pregnant. This is not a good idea to look good while pregnant because the person will just look gaudy, not to mention that the clothes do not also fit right. Even if the fabric is stretchable, it is still not good to use them. There are clothes that are especially made for women who are pregnant. Why not invest in them? You can also look for clothes that have high waistlines like the empire-cut to look good while pregnant. This is a good investment because this type of clothes can be worn even when you are not pregnant.

Stay away from oversize clothes

Pregnant women make the mistake of buying or using oversize clothes, T-shirts, shorts, in order to hide their growing tummy. They feel that oversize clothes will protect the child more. But wearing these kinds of clothes will not do anything for the baby and worse, they will only make you appear bigger to people. It is good to buy clothes that are cut the right way for you to look good while pregnant. Choose sizes that are just right for you. Not too tight but not too loose either.

Style your hair or better yet, cut it short

Because of their morning sickness, dizziness and headaches, most women already forget that they also have to groom themselves. One of the major problems of women is the hair. During pregnancy, women tend to have falling hair. Because of this, some women do not comb their hair as often. Although gels and other chemicals cannot be applied during pregnancy, you can still style your hair and look good while pregnant by tying it into a pony. You can also save yourself the heartache and just cut it short. This way, you don’t have to do anything.

Wear fashionable but comfy clothes

Who says you cannot wear fabulous and fashionable clothes to look good while pregnant? Let loose your fashionable self and experiment with all kinds of clothing and style. Look for “in” pieces that you can incorporate into your look. Cuts and styles of clothes are not the only ones that you can use when you want to follow the fad and look good while pregnant. There are also colors and accessories that you can use to still be “in” while pregnant.

Wear a smile

No amount of clothes, no matter how expensive can compare to your smile. To look good while pregnant, believe that you are beautiful and show the world that you are having fun and you will. Smile to everyone that you meet. You will realize that even if you are feeling bad because of your morning sickness, a smile can make you feel a lot better. And why not smile? After all, there’s a life living inside you. Isn’t that reason enough to smile to the world?

Pregnancy should not be that stressful, while your body is going through a lot of dramatic changes, there are still things you can do to look good while pregnant. So you want to get pregnant? You may be wondering what’s taking so long. “Why does it seem so difficult?” you may ask. “Why can’t I seem to get pregnant?”

I had all these questions and more. I wanted to know how to get pregnant fast.

First, let’s talk about the odds of getting pregnant in any given monthly cycle. One study cited a couple’s chance of getting pregnant within the first month of trying at about 25%, while 60% will get pregnant within 6 months, 75% within 9 months, 80% within 1 year, and 90% of couples get pregnant within 18 months of trying.

Now let’s talk about the factors that may be affecting your fertility and your partner’s fertility. In other words, what’s hindering your chances of getting pregnant fast?

Here are the 10 most likely causes of infertility issues followed by some conception tips to help increase your odds of getting pregnant faster.

1. Smoking. If you or your partner smoke cigarettes, this will greatly hinder your trying-to-conceive efforts. Women who smoke are 60% more likely than non-smokers to be infertile.

Medical research indicates that egg depletion and sperm damage caused by smoking is the cause for this decrease in fertility. Smoking is very bad for your health anyway, so this should give you a worthwhile incentive to quit for your own health and those around you. An unborn baby is at a high risk for many complications if the mother is a smoker. Also, if your partner smokes around you, you are affected by the second-hand smoke, which is very harmful as well. Remember that with over 2,000 different chemicals in tobacco smoke, not one of them is nutritious or enriching for you or your baby.

2. Illicit Drug Use or Alcohol Use. This may seem like a “no brainer” for most of us, but some women and men need to be reminded that illicit drug use is a no-no for those trying to conceive. Marijuana use specifically suppresses hormone production, which can cause decreased sperm count and possible erectile dysfunction in men and irregular periods in women. Alcohol in moderation may not significantly affect fertility, but if you want to definitely increase your chances of getting pregnant sooner rather than later, it’s best to avoid alcohol completely (both the woman and the man).

3. Caffeine Intake. Caffeine is believed to reduce fertility. It also is believed to be risky during pregnancy with an increased risk of miscarriage with more than very mild use. Caffeine’s effect on fertility and pregnancy is controversial – some believe it to be harmful in even small quantities and others believe it is fine with moderate use (up to three cups of coffee per day). But why take a chance, especially if you want to conceive quickly and avoid a potential miscarriage? Caffeine is in chocolate, coffee, tea, and most sodas. Even decaffeinated coffee and tea (black and green) has a small amount of caffeine, so be aware of this when drinking. If you truly want to get pregnant more quickly, you should give up caffeine altogether for a better chance of increasing fertility. If it’s too hard and you have a caffeine addiction, then wean down gradually in order to make it easier on yourself.

4. Poor Diet. What you eat or don’t eat is crucial to your overall well-being and

reproductive health. Getting pregnant is a complex process, one that requires many different body organs and glands to function properly to have proper hormonal balance and functioning. Most people don’t get the recommended daily allowance of fruits and vegetables and water per day. This is very basic, but it’s crucial to pay attention to in order to help increase your fertility and your chances of getting pregnant more quickly. Eat lots of green leafy vegetables (leaf lettuce, kale, collard greens, etc.), whole grains (oatmeal, whole grain breads, brown rice, etc.), raw nuts (almonds, Brazil nuts, walnuts, cashews, etc.), and a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables. Organic is best, and fresh is better than canned or processed. (Note that Brazil nuts are especially good for sperm health).

5. Lack of Exercise. If you’re sedentary, get moving. It will help you feel better, lose weight if needed, and will improve your fertility and chance of getting pregnant. Walking, swimming, biking, or aerobics are great forms of exercise. Do something that you enjoy, and it will be easier to keep up. Exercise at least 3 times a week for 20-30 minutes at a time.

6. Obesity or Being Overweight. If your BMI is greater than 25, you are considered overweight and are prone to health risks. A BMI of 30 or more is considered obese. Avoid fad diets or skipping meals. It has been proven that starving yourself only makes things worse. Do eat, but eat smaller portions more often, and cut out the junk food. Start slowly if you need to,

but definitely start.

7. Stressful Lifestyle. If you have a stressful work environment, consider changing

jobs. Stress will not only affect your fertility, it will affect your overall health and place you at greater risk for heart disease and many other health problems. Also, do what you can to relax often (at least once a day). Practice deep breathing to help relieve stress. What I do is inhale as deeply as I can with my mouth closed. Then I exhale slowly through my mouth. This is an instant stress reliever for me. Try it and see what it does for you! Another stress reliever can be a leisurely walk, especially if it’s something you enjoy and is in a beautiful environment. Go with your mate and use it to catch up on events of the day or just to dream of your future together. A warm bath can also be a great stress reliever, just don’t make it too warm, especially for the males, as it could affect sperm quality and quantity.

8. Advanced Age. Advanced age is widely considered to be age 35 and older. Women who are 35 years old and older do have somewhat of a disadvantage when trying to conceive. It is said that a female is born with the total amount of eggs she will have her entire life. Thus, at age 35 and beyond, her eggs are considerably “older” than they were in her 20′s, making it more difficult to conceive. That said, those of us who are older need to be even more diligent to be optimally healthy in order to increase our changes of getting pregnant faster. Men can be affected by age as well, especially as libido tends to decrease with age. I have found maca to be a wonderful libido enhancer and also fertility promoter. It is said to improve the quality of a woman’s eggs as well. I believe it helped me to get pregnant at 39 and carry my beautiful, perfectly health baby boy to full term.

9. Poor Intercourse Timing. In order to conceive, a couple needs to have intercourse

near the woman’s ovulation time – the closer the better. If a couple just has intercourse “whenever”, their chances of getting pregnant are not as good. Especially for the older couples in their late 30′s to 40′s, timing is crucial to getting pregnant faster. To get the timing right, you need to determine your ovulation date.

I like to track my cycles by using a basal thermometer. This thermometer is different from the regular thermometer used to determine a fever. A basal thermometer is an ultra-sensitive thermometer that tracks your body’s most minute temperature shift and helps you calculate

ovulation. Another means I like for determining ovulation date is an ovulation predictor kit (OPK) . There are two kinds – the urine strips and also the fertility monitors. The strips are like a pregnancy test stick, only they measure LH (or luteinizing hormone) instead of HCG (the pregnancy hormone). The fertility monitors use saliva to determine your most fertile period by showing a ferning pattern when you’re most likely to conceive.

10. Physical Issues. There are many physical issues that can hinder your chances of

getting pregnant. Eating right, exercising, losing weight, and quitting bad habits can greatly help to heal many of these conditions. Sometimes medical intervention is necessary, though. These conditions can include irregular menstrual cycles, anovulation (lack of ovulation), PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome), endometriosis, low sperm motility or mobility, low sperm count, or luteal phase defect, among others.

I suggest that you get some prenatal tests done for you and your partner. If you’ve been trying

to get pregnant for six months or more, especially if you’re 35 or older, see a reproductive endocrinologist. He or she will help you to decide which testing is best for you and your partner. Semen analysis will most likely be helpful to determine sperm health. And the woman’s symptoms will help to determine what tests are performed for her. Prenatal testing is very beneficial even if you want to get pregnant naturally. If you know what your condition is, you’re more likely to be able to overcome it.

If this article has helped you, please consider sharing it with someone you know who would

benefit also.

IVF Success RatesA couple is considered infertile when they have been unable to conceive a child after a year.   When conservative treatments fail, physicians often recommend fertilizing the woman’s eggs outside the womb, a process known as in vitro fertilization (“IVF”).

IVF involves artificially stimulating egg production in a woman by use of fertility drugs.  The resulting eggs are then surgically removed from the woman’s ovaries, and combined with sperm in a laboratory.  The strongest, healthiest embryos are then re-inserted in the woman.

This procedure overcomes numerous blocks to fertility, but it comes at a steep price.  IVF can cost over $10,000 per cycle and is usually not covered by insurance.   Therefore, before a couple considers this expensive procedure, it is important that they discuss IVF success rates with their fertility expert.

IVF success rates vary based on the physical characteristics of the couple undergoing the procedure, and the treatment methods used by the physician.

Age is the most important predictor of IVF success rates because the quantity and quality of eggs produced reduces as the woman ages.  On the average, live births per cycle are approximately 30% for women under age 35, 25% up to age 38, 15-20% up until age 40, and under 10% over age 40.   The average implantation rate is 20%.

Other factors in IVF success rates are the condition of the woman’s uterus, the quality of her partner’s semen, the ability of the woman to tolerate the procedure itself, the number of embryos which can be transferred, and whether the woman has a luteal phase defect affecting implantation.

Although such factors make it difficult to compare clinics, the Center for Disease Control and Prevention publishes clinics' success rates on its website.   However, this information can be misleading.  Some clinics improve their success rate by refusing to accept older women into their programs.  Others implant multiple embryos to boost their statistics.

Each couple is unique, and, notwithstanding national averages, IVF success rates cannot be predicted by a chart.  It is important to discuss the likelihood of success with a trusted doctor.

trying to get pregnant quicklyIf you are trying to get pregnant quickly, there are certain practices you can engage in that some say can better your chances of conceiving. For example, you should make sure that you are not excessively overweight if you are currently trying to get pregnant.

Being overweight can seriously impair your fertility, and your doctor will likely advise you to lose weight if you are having trouble conceiving and are seriously overweight.

You should also quit smoking, as there are several scientific studies that show smoking greatly reduces your chances of getting pregnant each cycle (and it is not good for the baby either).

Also, if you are trying to get pregnant quickly you should also start tracking your ovulation cycle and make sure that you have intercourse during your most fertile period. Each month there is only a short period of time that you are fertile, and you need to make sure you have sex during that period and up to five days before you ovulate. To do this, you will need to keep an accurate record of your ovulation cycle, and there are also ovulation prediction kits that can assist you with making sure your sexual timing is right on target.

Other practices that may help if you are trying to get pregnant quickly include taking vitamin supplements
like Vitamin C, E and Folic Acid. Vitamin C may help your partner's sperm quality, Vitamin E can help balance your hormones, and Folic Acid may help improve the quality of eggs being produced and can also help prevent birth defects. In addition, you can also try using certain sexual positions to help achieve pregnancy. Some claim that women should not be on top during sexual intercourse if they want to become pregnant and that the missionary position is most conducive to promoting pregnancy.

Although the scientific backing for some of these practices is not very strong, lowering your weight, stopping smoking and making sure you get enough Folic Acid and other vitamins are all good ideas whether you are trying to get pregnant or not.

We all know there is some controversy about when you can get pregnant. Some women seem to be able to do it just by deciding to, others try for year and years.

First of all there's some things you should make sure of before your decide it's a good time to get pregnant. You should of course be in a steady, strong, monogamous relationship with your partner. Another important factor is finances. You need to know how to handle expenses, know the expenses involved with being pregnant and having a baby/child.

Make sure you have adequate and up to date health insurance. Consider also, whether you have enough money in your monthly budget to allow for all the items a baby needs. One last thing to consider up front before you even start to try to become pregnant is you personal health. Check with your doctor to make sure it is a good idea and if you have any chronic diseases how a pregnancy might affect it and if you will need to make any changes in you medication routines etc.

The first thing you have to do is some math. Keep track of when your periods start and when they end. If you have a normal 28-day cycle ovulation should take place around the 14th day you last period STARTED. If you cycles are not regular subtract 18 from the number of days in your shortest cycle and add 7 days. Around this date is when you should be most fertile.

Another thing to do to help you decide when you can get pregnant easier is to watch for changes in you vaginal discharge. In the period right before you ovulate the discharge has a whitish color to it that looks almost like mucous. After ovulation the discharge will be cloudy or not there at all. The downside of this is that the appearances of these discharges are subjective.

Tracking you basal body temperature is another way to help you decide when you can get pregnant. First thing in the morning, before you even get out of bed take your temperature and record it daily in a log of some sort. Ovulation causes a slight increase in body temperature. When you see this, it is the best time to try.

You can also use an ovulation predictor kit, which are available at your dug store and work by testing your urine for the increase in hormones that happen before ovulation.

Who Else Wants To Get Pregnant Quickly and Naturally and Give Birth To Healthy Children?

If you are trying to get pregnant but haven't been able to do so this far, perhaps you should try a couple of techniques to improve your chances. One of the biggest factors in getting pregnant is the time of the month you try to conceive. A woman's ovulation cycle varies from individual to individual, knowing your cycle and what point in the cycle you are the most fertile can be a big help when you are trying to get pregnant. Contrary to popular belief, you can not get pregnant during any part of your cycle. You must be inseminated at least 2-3 days before ovulating in order to get pregnant. So how do you know when you will ovulate? Some women have a cycle that runs like clockwork and know exactly when they are ovulating, and others may not.

There are kits that will help in the prediction of your ovulation cycle, fertility specialists you can consult with, and various other methods. It is possible to get pregnant up to six days before your ovulation cycle, so having sex for six days prior will greatly increase your chances of conceiving. The level of fertility each woman has is also a big factor. Some women may not be fertile at all, while others may be so fertile it is pretty much a sure thing if they have unprotected sex at the right point in their cycle. Their are certain types of drugs available for women who do not have a high level of fertility. A couple of the most popular ones, gonadotropins and clomiphene, are prescribed to over a hundred thousand women each year for this purpose.

Something to be aware when taking these kind of drugs, is that it increases your chances of having a multiple birth. Approximately ten percent of women taking either drug will have twins, and a slightly lower possibility of having triplets, or even more than that in rare cases. This is great for women who would like to have a multiple birth, but there are drawbacks to having multiples. When you are carrying more than one baby the odds of a premature birth or miscarriage is more likely than when carrying a single baby, so it is important to take these facts into consideration when considering the aid of these drugs. If you have been trying to get pregnant using the above methods and you still can not get pregnant, there is always in-vitro fertilization. This may be a little expensive, but it is an extremely effective method when all else fails.

Infertility is a diagnosis given to couples who have been trying to conceive without success for at least one year, and it is a diagnosis that affects millions of people throughout the United States. With so many people diagnosed and such a vague definition given, many people are left asking not only what is infertility, but what causes it. Many different factors can contribute to infertility. These factors include the production of healthy sperm by the man and healthy eggs produced by the woman. Blocked fallopian tubes restrict the sperm, but if the sperm does not have the ability to fertilize once it has met the egg, the former factor is obsolete.

One third of infertility cases are a result of the woman. The most common infertility factor is ovulation disorder that makes it more difficult to predict the days it will be easiest to conceive. Another cause is blocked fallopian tubes often caused by pelvic inflammatory disease or endometriosis. However, even a perfectly healthy woman who has never experienced any of these factors can have trouble getting pregnant over the age of 35 when the ability of the ovaries to produce eggs decline. The diagnosis of infertility is also given when an embryo (fertilized egg) can not be sufficiently implanted in the woman’s uterus, or the hormone balance within the women creates an inhospitable environment.

While it often assumed that infertility is the woman’s problem, men also account for one third of infertility. Azoospermia is a male disorder that causes a ceasing of sperm cells being produced, and aligospermia causes very few to be produced. Genetic disease can also cause infertility in a man such as cystic fibrosis or a chromosomal abnormality. The most common factor for a man’s infertility is that the sperm cells are malformed or die before reaching the egg.

If one third of infertility cases are due to women’s problem, one third are men’s problems, that leaves one third remaining. The remaining cases are infertility cases that have unknown problems that cannot be diagnosed. These are the most frustrating couples. Because there is no way to pinpoint what is standing in the way of their child, there is no reliable way to fix the problem. Sometimes the problem is through the fault of the embryo that was conceived. If it is of poor quality it may not survive to full term. Other times the stress of trying to get pregnant can cause infertility. Learn what is infertility and do not be afraid to get tested. Maybe it is sleeping the fear of no knowing that is hurting the conception.

While for some women getting pregnant seems to be very easy and they can conceive on their first time trying, some women have to put some more work into it and need some extra help. Knowing when the best time to get pregnant is can be very beneficial when you are on the path to trying to conceive. There are a few different ways to find out when they are most fertile and when it is their best time to get pregnant. Here are some of those methods to track your most fertile time of the month.

Commonly the most fertile time of the month for most women are on days 12-16 of their monthly cycle meaning 12-16 days after the first day of the menstrual cycle. Most women have a 28 day cycle with her eggs being produced on or around day 14. This can vary. Some women will find that their cycles are shorter or longer all depending upon how their bodies work. Once you pinpoint when you ovulate or make your eggs you are then able to try to conceive your baby. Even if you are a day or two off sperm can live inside of your body for up to 72 hours so there is still a chance of pregnancy.

To start tracking when it is your best time to get pregnant start tracking your periods for about three months so you can get a general idea of how long your cycle is. Remember to start tracking on the very first day of your menstrual cycle. There are other ways to determine when you are most fertile including tracking your basal body temperature. When a woman ovulates her temperature can increase over 1.5 degrees more than normal. If you track your temperatures and notice your temperature higher around certain day chances are you are ovulating and it would be a great window of opportunity for you and your loved one to try to make a baby! Other ways to determine when you are most fertile are looking at the changes in your own body. Many women claim to have a sharp abdominal pain when they ovulate. Others notice a chance in their cervix mucus or discharge.

If you feel that you are not really getting anywhere by tracking your own fertile time you can always invest in an at home kit that helps you determine when it is the best time to get pregnant. There are also online tracking systems that help you store information so you can start to pinpoint when exactly you should try to conceive. Once you have all your information you are on your way to an easier time getting pregnant and getting the bundle of your dreams!
