Certain adjustments need to be manufactured to improve the chances of conceiving quickly and with out knowing what to do you do not stand significantly of a possibility.
Good Video my love!!!
Great video. You know your stuff! Glad you’re putting it out there for everyone.
I think this is a really important topic to cover – and I think you did it well – my periods are still very irregular
I would give it more time
I have been taking Vitex for 4 months….
I guess its not for me.
Thanks. Its great to hear stories of people overcoming EDs and their bodies healing. Gives me hope!
i just wanted to add that, i was in recovery for a long time and no periods. i do now have regular periods. it can take at least a year, i saw a gyno who was really good with me, and she told me to be patient and to hang tight. i also had cysts removed. bodies take time to heal and by seeing a specialist you are certainly doing the right thing. i just wantedto add that and say good luck xoxo
Yes, cysts can effect those hormones. I am not diagnosing or prescribing but I have had a lot of clients have success with Vitex. It is a natural hormone balancer
Thanks for this info. I will definetly make sure I ask her to check out all those hormones. Does low progesterone or estrogen dominance cause cysts?
I am thankful I am not out of the cycle of ED, however I do regret it..but what is done is done.
The cysts can cause a problem sometimes with hormones, and effect your pituitary glands. I am assuming she is doing a thyroid check as well, she should check not just total and THS but also t3 and t4 seperatly. Thyroid problems can also mess up hormones quite a bit
Good luck
Tara.
I just got a new gyno and she is going to test ALL my hormones next time I see her this month. Last time I got them checked was a year ago and everything was normal, however they didnt check my pituitary/adrenal glands. I just know something is going on with them because I dont have a period and I have ovarian cysts. I also have alot of rapid hair growth.
risk with pregnancy, it is still pretty low, and most people with history of EDs do have good outcomes.
The biggest risk to the baby would be stillbirth or miscarraige, but even then you have a better chance of the healthy birth. The risk is slight, not over 2-3%. It is unlikely that a fullterm baby is going to have complications from your eating disorder if you are healthy during pregnancy.
Good luck,
Tara
EDs can cause problems with fertility, so if your periods do not return within another year you may need to see a fertility specialist. It also may be advisable to wait another year so that your body has time to build back up the reserves it needs. Your body draws on the nutrition you have been giving it for the past 2-3 years during a pregnancy. The more time you have had to be healthy the better chance of a good outcome you will have.
Also note that even though you may have a slightly higher
You may have done enough damage to mess up your hormones, which can take a lot time to correct. I would say give it more time to see how your body corrects itself. If you have been ED for over 8 years, and only in recovery for 1 year that probably isn’t enough time to know how your body is going to respond.
I had an ED for 8 1/2 years and my husband and I have been trying to get pregnant for 10 months..and nothing. Ive been in recovery for a year, Im at a healthy weight now and still no regular period! Im also afraid of when I do get pregnant that Ive just messed my body up so much that it will harm the baby, even though I am healthy-body wise.
Great video, Tara, lots of information, really good!!!
xoxo
